#712 – Roll-a-palooza

Roll-a-palooza
Evidently, animals are allowed in the park so long as they are clandestine in eschewing rules.

Hidden Ducks and Toads

If you’re a duck and you don’t want
the whole wide world to know…
Don’t let them see your webby feet
Don’t let your feathers show.
As long as they don’t hear you “quack”
(I know this sounds absurd)
The whole wide world will never know
that you are just a bird.

If you’re a toad and you don’t want
the whole wide world to know…
Don’t let them see your slimy skin
Don’t let your bugged-eyes show.
As long as they don’t hear your “croak”
or notice that you’re green,
the fact that you are just a toad
goes seemingly unseen.

If you’re a pig and you don’t want
the whole wide world to know…
there’s nothing you can say or do
to make them think it’s so.
They may not ever hear your “oink”
or see your muddy hide,
but still, the fact that your a pig
can never be denied.
