Nothing’s Happened Yet

It’s Friday the thirteenth today,
but nothing’s happened yet.
I spilled the salt, to mom’s dismay,
but nothing’s happened yet.

I broke the mirror by the bath
but nothing’s happened yet.
A dozen black cats crossed my path,
but nothing’s happened yet.

They’re all bad luck, supposedly,
but nothing’s happened yet.
But, are they so? I disagree
’cause nothing’s happened yet.
