Eating Flowers
Broccoli is flowers
And cauliflower: flowers
And both of those are pretty good to eat.
Artichokes are flowers
that need to cook for hours
But worth the wait to eat their tasty meat.
Brussel sprouts are flowers
that everyone devours
or rather, seems like everyone but me.
I don’t have the powers
to eat those nasty flowers.
I think that I could sooner eat a tree.
