Burps
I wonder where my burps come from,
those beasts that brew within.
They rise and rumble from my tum,
but how do they begin?Do broods of bubbles boil and rise
as pressure builds within,
until they’ve reached a certain size
and burps escape my grin?Or do they form another way?
Do vicious vapors grow
as monster microbes toil away
until the belches blow?Perhaps I’ll never understand
how belches come to be,
but each eruction, gross and grand,
sounds musical to me!
