1349 – How Do You Like It?

How Do You Like It?
One good sting deserves another.

Wasps

The sky is brimming every spring
with swarming armies taking wing
of foul, ferocious, flying sting.
Those wasps are just no good.

I understand what bees can do,
And spiders serve their purpose too,
And even flies, we need a few,
But wasps are just no good.

They make us scream. They make us fuss.
How come they want to bother us?
I think they like to hear us cuss,
“You wasps are just no good!”

They’ve poached the place we like to play
to build their homey hideaway.
I’m gonna smash ’em all someday.
Those wasps are just no good.

  1. Great poem! We had such a laugh last year with wasps trying to get in the car when I drove a bunch of kids to school. As one door opened the wasp would fly in then another door would open and more would go in. Crazy!
