1545 – Not a Tiger

Not a Tiger
The Serengeti is known for its booming paint delivery business.

Susanna in Furs

On Sunday, Susanna decided her skin
was nothing she’d want to be noticed within.
And so, she determined, she wouldn’t wear hers.
Instead, she’d be seen in much fancier furs.
On Monday, the stripes a zebra were worn.
On Tuesday, a tiger’s she chose to adorn.
On Wednesday, a panda. On Thursday, a whale.
On Friday, a peacock, complete with a tail.
So fur-full and fearsome Susanna did seem.
And if she was noticed, Susannah would beam!
The people acknowledged, “How clever! How quaint!”
And nobody saw she was covered with paint.
