1711 – Lost Place

Lost Place
To be quite fair, that cat bed cost just as much as the mattress.

How I Sleep

It seems tonight
I have no bed
for there instead:
my kitten’s head.
It isn’t right
to lose my place
but oh, that face
of resting grace.
A precious sight
of slumber deep,
I let her keep
her spot to sleep.
I dim the light.
I close the door
and sleep once more
upon the floor.
