Halloween Neighbors
It’s October 5th… little early for candy

Halloween Neighbors

The neighbors never hesitate
at any chance to decorate,
but Halloween, is plain and clear
their favored festive time of year.

They dress their home with skulls and bones.
Their ‘lectro witch, she shrieks and moans.
With pumpkin heads, and spooky lights,
they celebrate for days and nights.

Uncountable their creepy cats,
the fleets of floating flitting bats,
and ghastly ghouls that congregate.
That’s how they choose to celebrate.

And as for me, my home is bare;
no single decoration there.
No point, I think, when after all
my neighbors do it best each fall.
