1656 – Going Bare

Going Bare
“…and you also forgot your lunch!”

Going Bare

A boy I knew was rather rude
and left his laundry on the floor.
His mother wasn’t in the mood
to gather garments anymore,
and so she shared her maddened mind:
“Each piece I pick, I’ll throw away
and soon you’ll have a bare behind
and have to go to school that way.”
That pointed threat, it should’ve been
enough to work, except that he –
to her unbearable chagrin –
found nothing wrong with nudity.
