1736 – Painted FoliageĀ

Painted Foliage
I might be the first person to draw a leaf holding, well, anything.

It’s Still Summer

The summer isn’t giving way
to autumn’s cool routine.
October’s nearly gone away,
With leaves still mostly green.
But since nobody has to rake
while fall and summer brawl,
I tell the leaves, for summer’s sake,
“Hold tight! Stay green! Don’t fall!”
