Tortoise
I had a little tortoise once,
and how I loved him so.
The only thing I didn’t like
was how he walked so slow.And so I gave him rocket shoes
to help pick up his pace.
But when they blew, next thing I knew
he flew to outer space.Next time you see a shooting star
or comet whizzing by, may just be my tortoise friend
who lives beyond the sky.
