Be Kind to Bugs
I’m not a fan of squashing bugs.
A gruesome thing to do:
to treat them like unwelcome thugs
and smash them with a shoe.How hard is it to be more kind
and sweep them back outside?
Or help a helpless critter find
a safer place to hide?We’re oh, so big, and they’re so small,
so what’s the buggy fuss?
It’s true, you know, that they are all
a lot more scared of us.So please be nice to every bee,
each spider, moth, or fly.
But not the cockroaches you see.
Those all can die, Die, DIE.
