Mile high water slide
In our town there’s a mile high water slide.
“The tallest anywhere” we claim with pride.
You’ll have to climb five thousand steps to ride,
and people come from near and far and wide.To reach its peak can take an hour or more.
It starts up where the birdies like to soar.
And as you slip and swoosh back to the shore,
You’ve never gone as fast as that before.That super slide’s the spectacle of sites;
so busy that it’s open days and nights.
But sadly, oh, it causes me such frights
because (boo hoo) I’m too afraid of heights.
Thursdays are dog days!
