#864 – Lemonbot

Lemonbot
The best part of this robot: dishwasher safe.

I once made a robot

I once made a robot of metal and bolts
and wires for handling millions of volts
with circuits for thinking, and sprockets, of course,
with gears for converting centripetal force.

I welded and molded and tinkered and toiled.
I made sure its axles were properly oiled,
And when I’d perfected each segment and part
I mashed on its shiny green button marked “START”…

A bonk and a beep and a twerk and a jerk,
and somewhat surprising, it really DID work!
The greatest contraption I ever have made:
a robot for squeezing me fresh lemonade.

Special mention goes to Anne Campbell for recommending “Centripetal Force.” While I acknowledge that I may have fudged on the engineering, it worked well.

Another special mention goes to Sudie Ammerman for suggesting word-of-the-moment “twerk” to go in as well. She suggested it as a joke, but no sooner had she said it than this idea came to mind. I’m glad I could make it work.
