#837 – Bad Bird Neighbor

Bad Bird Neighbor
Species: North-American Noodge

Trash out the Window

Just open up your window panes
and toss out all your junk.
Eject the refuse and remains:
each pile, each gob, each hunk.
Defenestrate your dross and dreck.
The neighbors won’t seem keen
to see your yard look like a wreck,
but wow, your house is clean!

Special mention goes out to fellow poet, cartoonist and friend, Joe Mohr, who challenged me to use the word “defenestrate” this week. Check out his poems (and buy a copy of his book!) here.
