#1 – Sunflower

Sunflower
Welcome to Kindergarten!

Stacy was making Andrew’s lunch for his first day of school.  She handed me an index card and said, “Here, draw something.”  This is what came out.

I’ve drawn similar sunflowers several times, but this is the first time I made one for Andrew.  Maybe this will become a recurring event.

Author’s note: Many people who browse this site will start with this doodle and work their way to the most recent. Feel free to do so, but you may enjoy them more by starting with the latest and working your way back.

  1. This is such a fantastic idea, I’m jealous I haven’t done this for my boys (might be a little late to start now, they’re 16 lol)! Just wanted to say that I’ve been reading your poems on here (and thoroughly enjoying the poetry competition) and you are so very good. I love the ideas, the illustrations, everything. I know I’ll be keeping up with your blog!
