1470 – South for the Winter

South for the Winter
It’s cold, but from what I understand… it’s a DRY cold.

No Snow Here

A perfect winter mystery:
why snowflakes keeps evading me.
The cold may come, the wind may blow,
but where I live, there’s never snow.
And I don’t mean that in my town,
infrequent flurries flutter down:
Instead, the snow is falling fine
on everybody’s house but mine,
A blizzard came in fast and hard
and dumped on everybody’s yard,
but on my lawn, for pity’s sake,
there’s not a solitary flake.
It feels unfair to have the fate
the snowflakes will accumulate
at everywhere but this address…
so I reluctantly confess
that’s why moving off to where
the snow falls evenly and fair:
Bring on the flakes of frozen ice!
I hear Antarctica is nice.
