1368 – Pie to the Sky

Pie to the Sky
Seriously, who stacks pies on top of each other?

Slice of Heaven

Whether fruit, or cream, or custard,
Whether frozen, baked, or fried,
This confection, it’s perfection:
I’ve loved every pie I’ve tried.

I’m a gobbler of the cobbler,
Munching mince and a la mode,
Eating lotsa empanada
till I’m certain I’ll explode.

Yes I reckon I’ll have seconds,
If there’s pie to try, I must.
It’s a little slice of heaven
with a tender, flaky crust.

  1. Thank you so much for sharing ” A slice of heaven”, I now plan to go to the bakery, and eat a huge slab of
    Cherry and apricot pie!.
I thank you, but my waistline does not!!.

  2. Love this, especially the second stanza. Also the words “Yes I reckon I’ll have seconds” are particularly pleasing to my palate.
