Noises in the Night
I heard some noises in the night
that filled me full of fear and fright.
A BANG, a BUMP, a THUMP, a CRACK…
I almost had a heart attack.I panicked when I heard a CRASH,
then something made a dreadful SMASH.
It startled me when I heard SLAM.
I fainted when I heard a WHAM.I thought I had become the host
to some unwelcome clumsy ghost,
but then it shouted “Ow, my head!”
The poltergeist was Uncle Fred.
