Bug in my Ear
There’s a bug down inside of my ear
and it says stuff I don’t want to hear:
“You’re not good enough…”
“…smart enough…”
“…fast enough…”
“…tall enough…”
“…wealthy enough to be here.”
And it’s caused such a pain in my head
to ignore all the things that it’s said,
so I’ll shove in my fingers
’till no longer lingers
that bug down inside of my ear.
