#474 – I’m Exploding!

I'm Exploding!
Peer pressure… don’t give in.
Cotyledon pressure… it’s inevitable.

This marks the first time I’ve drawn anthropomorphic popcorn. I’m pretty pleased with how it turned out. It was hard to draw the un-popped kernels without them looking like they were naked, though.

And while it’s not precisely about popcorn, I have a limerick poem about making noises:

I Have a Bad Case of the Noisys

I have a bad case of the noisys
I thunder, explode, bang and crash.
All my sounds make me proud –
I enjoy being loud.
I love every pop, snap and smash.

Each step that I take is an earthquake,
Each hiccup an ear-splitting blast.
My snore is a wonder
that rumbles like thunder,
The sound of my sneeze unsurpassed.

I always excel at exclaiming!
Each syllable fills me with glee.
I can holler and shriek
with unequaled technique –
A train wreck has nothing on me.

I’ve been diagnosed with the noisys,
Admitting the truth makes me blush…
After one sonic boom
I was sent to my room.
My mom has a case of “the hush.”
