#554 – If You Don’t Wash Your Ears

If You Don't Wash Your Ears
My mom always said it would be potatoes. I think sunflowers would be prettier.

Art Audible

Art Audible tried filling up
the hole inside his ear.
He started out by pouring in
the noises he could hear.

He crammed inside an orchestra,
and one night as it rained
he pushed inside a thunder crash,
but still the hole remained.

He packed it tight with tantrums of
a nasty noisy bull.
Explosions were inserted too;
the hole would not get full.

He shoved the sounds inside until
he’d bored of that routine.
With something else he filled the hole —
it only took one bean.
