#831 – I Dream of Beaches

I Dream of Beaches
Calculus puts me to sleep too, but kudos for the kiddo learning big math when only in Third Grade!

I think that I Need a Vacation

I think that i need a vacation
I’m eagerly ready to rest
some distant exotic location
northeastern, or southward or west.

A waterfall, seaside or fountain,
Hawaii, Shanghai or Bombay,
a mesa, volcano or mountain
so long as it’s far, far away.

I’ll travel all over creation.
I’ll bring you a sweet souvenir.
I’ll write you from every new station
that’s anywhere other than here.

A merciful merry migration
to havens to help me refuel,
for sadly I need a vacation
on only the third day of school.

While there weren’t any requested/recommended vocabulary words for this one, shout out to my girlfriend for inspiring the poem.
