#811 – Cricket Serenade

Cricket Serenade
And supposedly, the chirping tells you the temperature, which is RED HOT.

Cricket noises

Some say that crickets rub their legs
to make their chirping sound,
but others say to make that noise,
they wag their wings around.
So is it wings or is it legs
that crickets use to croon?
Or do they have another way
to play their chirpy tune?
I only know they sing their song
because, for them, it’s fun:
of all the noises in the night,
they make the loudest one.
