#483 – Comparing Pots

We both planted some seeds
and yours started to bud,
but when I watered mine
all that happened was mud.

When I first wrote this poem, I had many intentions about making it longer; comparing the two characters where one had successes and one had failure as a repeated pattern. Then I wrote the first verse, decided it was just fine as it is and abandoned the rest. I’m happy with what turned out, albeit a short rhyme.
