Clever Squirrel
He spies the nut below… it looks delicious.
But others scan and search among in the trees.
He sneaks and slinks to keep them un-suspicious,
then strikes to swipe the treasure that he sees.
Too quick or slow and others might have stolen
the acorn he desired dearly… but,
for now his belly’s satisfied and swollen.
The cleverest deserves to eat the nut.
