1521 – Box of Feet

Box of Feet
“They’re for good luck!”

A smell has wandered up my nose.
With every sniff, the odor grows.
A pungent, aromatic curse
like rotten fish, but much, much worse.
The stench of moldy skunk and cheese
assaults me like a poison breeze.
Like sour milk. Like rancid meat.
I think it’s time to wash my feet.
