I was totally prepared to go another direction with this one. I had it in mind to draw a rhino, but on my way to the kitchen table, where I do almost all of the doodles, I came across a spider.
I am not afraid of spiders. Having been bitten several times, this may be to my detriment. Nevertheless, I do not fear them. But the thought of the rhino in my head and then the spider coming along metamorphosed into this. I like the end product.
Side note: I think this is the first time I have ever drawn a lion.
