1063 – Banjo Boogie

Banjo Boogie
If I were a banjo, I would dance as much as my little banjo legs could stand.

When Banjo Billy Comes to Town Again

When Banjo Billy comes to town again…
When Banjo Billy comes to town again…
We’ll throw the usual parade
and drink our fill of lemonade…
We’ll shut the schools and quit out jobs
and lay around like lazy slobs…
We’ll throw our socks and shoes away
and have a week-long holiday…
…when Banjo Billy comes to town again.

When Banjo Billy comes to town again…
When Banjo Billy comes to town again…
We’ll all play games and sing a song
as silly as the day is long…
We’ll eat dessert before our meal
and everyone will shout and squeal…
We could do this stuff anyway,
but always wait until the day…
…when Banjo Billy comes to town again.

I want a banjo for Christmas. Unfortunately, it’s out of my price range, and way over budget for anyone giving me a gift. Anyone have a banjo they want to give me? I’ll wrote you a poem in exchange.
