Balloon Animals
The expert tried to show to me
his masterful balloonery
by twisting a menagerie.But all that I myself could make
was something looking like a snake.He molded, shaped, and sculpted too
his bright balloons into a zoo,
then asked of me what I could do.I answered with embarrassed squirms,
“I’m only good at making worms.”He twisted this and that-a-way
a colorful and bold bouquet.
But when I tried, to my dismay:I couldn’t craft a single bloom,
but made a pretty loud kaboom.
