Animal Behavior
Fact: giraffe burps smell like acacia leaves.

I Eat Like an Animal

Gorillas slurp, and gulp, and hork
while Lions smack their lips,
An Elephant forgoes a fork,
then licks its fingertips.

Baboons, they burp, as chickies chirp
with mustard on their beaks.
An open, chewing mouth has sheep:
who spittles while he speaks.

The antelopes enjoy their food
while eating with their feet,
and yet, you say it’s me who’s rude
for how I choose to eat.
