Not Today, Bird
The early worm gets the bird.

The club for eating worms

We have a club for eating worms.
We love the way they writhe and squirm,
and on the weekends when we meet,
we always bring some worms to eat.

We start with fat ones, long and brown
and then some fuzzy ones we’ve found,
some tiny worms that look like rice.
(I think the slimy ones are nice).

Our membership is only three:
It’s Lisa, Kyle, and then there’s me,
but you can join… it isn’t hard:
just eat a worm in your front yard.

We eat them raw, we eat them fried.
You’ll think we’re nuts until you’ve tried,
but then you’ll know that you were wrong
and join us in your wormy song:

“We think that worms are extra neat!
And in our club, that’s all we eat!
Some clubs read books, some clubs play chess…
The Club for Eating Worms is best!”
