I Just Make More Mess
The window didn’t need a smudge.
The dust did not need glue.
The furniture did not need sludge
in fifty shades of blue.The mirrors didn’t need more mud.
The walls did not need ink.
The bathtub didn’t need to flood
and neither did the sink.The kitchen didn’t need a fire
and nor did the commode.
The carpet didn’t quite require
to have its fringes mowed.I sadly say, I truly tried
to do the best I could.
But cleaning house, I must confide:
I’m really not that good.
