Lulu Laid an Egg
Lulu lately started nestin’,
an activity suggestin’
that she needed extra restin’.While we thought she was a-playin’.
‘Fore too long, we were surveyin’,
’twas an egg that she was layin’!Now we wonder why she’s doin’
all that cluckin’ and a-cooin’
while that egg of hers is brewin’,Still she spends all day a sittin’,
a behavior unbefittin’
of an ordinary kitten.
