1673 – Brains in a Jar

Brains in a Jar
It the only way I don’t have bad dreams!

Brains in a Jar

Each night, I open up my head
and reach down deep inside.
I have a jar beside the bed
in which my brains reside.
Then every morning, as I rise
I put my brains back in,
and feeling wide awake and wise,
I let my day begin.

But sometimes I forget to take
my thinker from the jar.
And numb, and dumb, and not awake,
I never get that far…
but as I wander through my day,
I wonder as I roam:
if anyone I’ve met today
has left their brains at home.
