My Animal Band
My puppy cannot play guitar.
It sounds like donkeys braying.
He’ll never be a superstar
with his atrocious playing.My kitty cannot bang the keys
She’s really quite appalling.
Each time she plays, I beg her please
to cease her caterwauling.My tortoise cannot hum a note
and if he tries his singing,
the noises that escape his throat
leave both my eardrums ringing.And as a band, they really stink:
so bad it’s almost funny.
Those music lessons were, I think,
a total waste of money.
