Not Sleepy
Oh no, not feeling sleepy.
Don’t need to go to bed.
This pillow here is only
to rest my aching head.
My eyelids were not drooping –
ignore what you just saw.
Oh no, I wasn’t yawning.
I only stretched my jaw.
You didn’t hear me snoring –
I think you heard me cough.
Just leave me here not sleeping
(but switch those lights to off).
