In Love with Cheese
Your candy’s nice. Your cards suffice,
but I’m in love with cheese.
So I suppose I’ll take your rose,
but cheese is bound to please.A slice of wholly holey Swiss
might be a better gift,
and better Cheddar doesn’t miss
to give my heart a lift.A block or two of Brie or Bleu
can set my soul afire.
And though it’s sad but true for you,
it’s cheeses I desire.They make me shaky in the knees.
Delicious, and divine.
That’s why, you see, I’m asking cheese
to be my valentine.
