1665 – Too Many Milkshakes

Too Many Milkshakes
Fact: one milkshake is too many for a bunny.

Milkshake Ted

Twas Ted who drove the truck of treats
Of frozen foods and icy eats.
And every day, he’d come my way,
And every day, to Ted, I’d say,
“I say, dear Ted, I’d wish you’d make…
I’d wish you’d make another shake.”
And every day, old Ted would ask
before he did his daily task,
“The same old thing? The same old way?
But nothing new for you today?”
And every day, twas my reply
to Ted, I said, “I said,” said I
“I want another shake to drink.”
That’s all I said to Ted, I think.
And every day, another shake
Is all that Ted would ever make.
And every day, when I was through,
I though: tomorrow, something new.
And twenty thousand shakes I drank,
But never did I stop to thank
The milkshake man, who’s name was Ted,
Who tried to make me try instead
Another other frozen good.
He asked, but knew I never would.
I never tried another thing
That any day, Old Ted would bring.
But any day, I could’ve said,
“Please make something new”, to Ted.
And then, the day, it came to pass
When Ted no longer came, alas.
I sat outside, and sad, I sighed,
“I wish I’d tried… I wish I’d tried…”
