1583 – Going Gray

Going Gray
Something something gray hare.

Going Gray

We’re missing the colors
Of Summer and Spring
when hues of the world
get to glimmer and sing.
Now Autumn has fallen
they’ve withered away,
when everything left
goes a little bit gray.

The leaves detonated
then left on the breeze.
It won’t be much longer
before there’s a freeze.
Then all of the blue
in the sky went away
and now we’re umbrellaed
by heavens of gray.

It won’t last forever.
The spring will return,
when colors all brilliantly
billow and burn.
But stupid November
will have its own way,
by swallowing Autumn
and vomiting gray.
