1417 – You Can’t Play Here

You Can't Play Here
This is a surefire way to get your library card revoked.

She doesn’t want a song

I toot a flute, I strum a string,
I bang upon a gong:
She doesn’t want to hear me sing.
She doesn’t want a song.

No zydeco. No rock and roll.
No hip hop, jazz, or crunk.
No dubstep, pop, baroque, or soul.
No folk. No funk. No punk.

I play it slow. I play it fast.
I play with style and poise.
Her head keeps shaking, “No, no, no”.
She treats it all like noise.

Regardless of what key I’m in,
B flat, C sharp, or D,
that grumpy old librarian
just keeps on shushing me.

Thursdays are kitty days!

I tried something new with today’s doodle. For the first time, I switched to a higher grade of paper. It makes the coloring come out a little smoother, but I think I still need practice.

How would you color today’s doodle? Send yours to me on twitter at @LunchboxDoodler to be shared with my followers!
