Smarter When I Sleep
It seems at night, I’m extra bright:
I’m smarter in my sleep.
I’ve got a burning yearn to learn
When I’ve been counting sheep.When I’m in class, I seldom pass
an easy quiz or test,
but once I doze, my genius grows.
I’m brilliant when I rest!I don’t know why I can’t apply
myself when I’m awake.
I try to read, but don’t succeed
and science makes me ache.But when I snore it’s not a bore
to fill my brain with facts.
And if I pick arithmetic,
my knowledge never lacks.With open eyes, it’s no surprise
that I’m a simple fool.
I’d rather be a prodigy
asleep all day at school.
