House Made of Cheese
I wish that I lived in a house made of cheese
With windows of Swiss that could let in the breeze
A carpet of Cheddar spread out of the floor
A knob made of Parmesan there on the door.
American slices for curtains and drapes
And big blocks of Gouda in furniture shapes
The faucets would bubble both brie and fondue
I’d sleep in a bed made of soft, shredded Blue.
Surrounded by cheeses – floors, ceilings and halls;
and if I got hungry, I’d munch on the walls.
