1658 – Sleeping in Class

Sleeping in Class
Honestly, the teacher doesn’t mind: he’s quieter that way.

Sleeping in Class

I’m thinking of finding a way
to sleep in my classroom today.

My eyelids are heavy.
I can’t keep them lifted.
I slip into slumber
not knowing I’ve drifted.
Now everyone notices
sounds of me snoring,
but how can I help it:
the teacher’s so boring.

I’m choosing some snoozing instead,
and wishing my desk was a bed.
