Poor Pluto
Nine planets used to ring the Sun,
but now it seems we’re missing one…
For eight were proper planets, but
poor Pluto didn’t make the cut.
“It isn’t big enough,” they said.
So now it’s called a “dwarf” instead.
But I don’t really give a heck
what science calls this distant speck.
That doesn’t make it go away.
It keeps on spinning anyway.
Three billion miles away from here,
but in my heart, it’s always near.
