The Dumbest Mistake
I’ve met many smarties
at picnics and parties
who frequently fancy a fight
to prove they’re the brightest –
their arguments, rightest:
unmatched, their mentality’s might.But told they’re mistaken,
they’ll argue unshaken
despite what the evidence shows.
And though they’re defeated,
insipid, repeated:
they’re right from their tip to their toes.It’s under-impressive:
becoming aggressive
instead of just getting along.
The dumbest mistake
any smart kid can make
is to never admit when they’re wrong.
