1530 – It’s Your Bedtime

It's Your Bedtime
“No, it’s YOUR bedtime!”

Nighttime Security

I snuggle with a teddy bear
at ninety four years old.
A blankey keeps me safe at night
from more than just the cold.

I have to keep a night light on
in case I need to pee,
but also keeping monsters from
upsetting sleepy me.

Some people scold that I’m to old
when I prepare for bed,
to need bear’s protection when
it’s time to rest my head,

but sticking to this same routine,
to calm my sense of dread,
instead of fear the darkest night,
I slumber like the dead.
