That didn’t sound absurd.

I didn’t feel deceived.
Jim said he once saw purple snow.
That story I believed.
Jim said that his giraffe is green,
and I believed it too.
Jim said he built a time machine,
and that, I think, was true.
But when he borrowed fifty bucks
the first of last July,
Jim said that he would pay me back.
I think that was a lie.
