The Way I Dance
I’m not a ballerina
but I love the way I dance.
Like someone dumped an anthill
down inside my underpants.I whirl and twirl and jitter
when the music hits my ear.
I rhumba to a rhythm
only I can seem to hear. It’s gets the crowd’s attention
when I move my derrière.
But I continue prancing
like the only person there.I shake and quake and shimmy
while I’m kicking up my heels.
I may look kindof silly
but I love the way it feels.I trip the light fantastic
’cause I’m fun and fancy-free,
but I’d enjoy it better
if you danced along with me.
