No Valentine for Toby
This Valentine’s, it was a gas!
We celebrated with our class,
and all of us had fun, alas…
but no one gave a Valentine to Toby.My box was stuffed with cards, it’s true.
I made a special heart for you,
and even teacher got a few,
but no one gave a Valentine to Toby.The decorations, pink and red,
were all around and overhead.
“I love this holiday!” we said,
but no one gave a Valentine to Toby.No, Toby didn’t get his wish.
So sulkily he’ll splash and splish.
It’s hard to be the classroom fish,
but no one gave a Valentine to Toby.
